Rookie of the Year 2018

Has someone new to teaching mathematics joined your staff?
Are they doing a great job?

Please nominate that mathematics educator for VCTM Rookie of the Year!
We plan to award one elementary teacher (K-5), one middle grades teacher (6-8) and one high school teacher (9-12) the Rookie of the Year Award at our annual fall meeting.
The only criterion, beyond doing amazing things in the classroom, is that the awardees be in their first three years of teaching.
The winners will be invited to this year’s VCTM Fall Conference (no charge), receive free VCTM membership for the following year, be requested to write an article for the eNewsletter, and be invited to present at the following VCTM Fall Conference.  In addition there will be a small cash award and certificate given to recipients.
To support a candidate for this award, be on the lookout for a link to an online form in the next eNewsletter.  You will be asked to include a letter of recommendation as part of your nomination.  The deadline for nominating an outstanding Rookie of the Year is June 1, 2018.
